In the last century the church leadership was seen to be absent
of showing genuine concern, loyalty, spiritual sensitivity,
and sincere burden when people were robbed of their dignity,
identity, and respect through oppression, war, ethnic cleansing,
abuse of power, economic resources and political corruption.
God's agenda of proclaiming the Gospel of His Kingdom affected
only a few in most of our cities and nations.
In the 21st century, there is a need for a new breed of leadership
in the Body of Christ who will believe God to transform nations
by infuencing politicians and business tycoons, legislators
and all the elite in every society.
HISTORY
In 1993 God spoke for church leaders and Christians to gather
and claim Africa for Jesus through prayer and intercession.
Dr. Mordi took God's mandate literally and started to meet on
every Third Saturday of every month at Bethel World Outreach
Church in Silver Spring. Africans and Friends of Africa, Pastors
and Christians from different churches, denominations and countries
came faithfully to intercede every month. In unity we called
every African country by name and every president by name. We
prayed for the governors in all 50 states and the president
of America (I Tim. 2:1-5). We spoke those things that were not
as though they are in every nation (II Chron. 7:14; Prov. 14:34).
There were many challanges but we remained faithful to obey
God rather than man's agenda, (Acts 5:29).

As we faithfully prayed according to God's instruction, miracles
started happening in different lives and nations. In November
1994, we held the first anniversary in Washington D.C. in celebration
of claiming Africa for Jesus in Unity and Diversity. Dr. Mordi
went to every African Embassy to invite Ambassadors and their
representitives in order to involve them as we prayed for God's
blessings and prosperity upon their nations. The D.C. Mayor
was also invited, and government representitives came. To this
day, intercessors have remained faithful to stand in the gap
for nations and leaders.
Our unity will bring Elijah's Mount Carmel Experience in nations
(Kings 18:20-40). Please, we need the Body of Christ to be involved.
